The problem

Why hiring in Turkey is harder than it looks

Turkey has a deep and young talent pool, but almost none of it is reachable through job boards in English. Four things usually surprise employers hiring here for the first time.

The best people are not applying

Senior Turkish professionals rarely keep a CV up to date and rarely respond to job ads. They move when someone they trust brings them a specific, credible opportunity. Reaching them is outbound work, not inbound.

Salary is discussed in net, budgeted in gross

In Turkey candidates negotiate the amount that lands in their bank account. Employers budget the employer cost. Between the two sit social security contributions, unemployment insurance, cumulative income tax and stamp duty — and the gap widens through the year as the tax bracket rises.

Ending an employment contract has a price tag

Severance and notice obligations under Labour Law No. 4857 attach to the contract from day one. A hire that does not work out is not simply reversed; it is paid for. That is what makes assessment before the offer worth its cost.

English-language screening filters the wrong thing

Screening only candidates whose CV is written in English removes most of the domestic market. We assess in Turkish and report to you in English, so language fluency is measured where the role actually needs it.

Method

How an assignment runs

Nine steps, the same on every assignment. You see written output at steps five, six and eight — not just a stream of CVs.

Requirement analysis

We take the brief, learn your culture, look at your competitors and turn the role into a list of measurable competencies.

Market mapping

We identify which sectors and companies develop the profile you need, and where those people sit today.

Candidate research

We study career paths in detail — tenure, scope, the good moves and the bad ones — before anyone is contacted.

First approach

We approach the candidate as a specific opportunity, answer their first questions and agree a time for a structured interview.

Competency interview

A structured interview against the competency list, followed by a written consultant report — what we saw, not what the CV claims.

Your interviews

We prepare a comparison report across the shortlist and, if you want it, sit in on your interviews.

Assessment

Tests and inventories relevant to the role, plus a case study written specifically for your company where the position warrants it.

Reference checks

References taken directly from former employers and the candidate's own line manager.

Offer management

We manage the offer stage, keep expectations realistic on both sides and prevent the late-stage collapse that most searches die of.

Getting started

Tell us about the role

Send us the brief and we will come back with a market read: where those people work today, what they cost, and how long the search is likely to take. No fee for that conversation.

Tell us who you need to hire in Turkey.

Send the brief and we will come back within one business day with a market read: availability, realistic salary band and an honest timeline. No fee for that.
